AIM Academies Trust was formed in 2012 as a partnership between London Academy and Deansbrook Junior School with an ambitious vision – that with structure, love and high expectations, there should be no limits to what any child can achieve.
What We Do
Today we’re three academies – all in areas of high deprivation. Students join us aged four, can stay until they’re 19, and are guaranteed an exceptional education throughout.
How We Do It
Our approach is heartfelt and hands-on. We care deeply for every one of our 2,700+ students, and the hundreds of colleagues who serve them day by day. This scale works because each school is led in a way that suits its pupils and its community.
We deliberately keep decision-making close to the ground, so that leadership is visible, reachable and answerable – never one-size-fits-all. Getting bigger will not change that.
Our Record-breaking Results
Our pioneering approach is successful:
– London Academy replaced the failing Edgware School and transformed into one of the highest-performing schools, having ranked among the Top 60 Schools in the country twice in the last four years
– AIM North London superseded the struggling Nightingale Academy and graded ‘Good’ for the first time in its history just four years later, in 2023. We achieved the top 25% GCSE results in 2024, and in 2026 we’re oversubscribed.
– Deansbrook Junior School. In 2025, 95% of our pupils achieved their expected standard in their KS2 SATS, placing us in the top 1% of schools nationally.
