Our People
AIM Academies Trust is a charitable company limited by guarantee, comprising London Academy, Deansbrook Junior School, AIM North London and One Degree Academy. The Trust is governed by a Board of Directors (Trustees), who are responsible for the strategic leadership, management and oversight of the Trust and its schools. Details of our members and trustees can be found here.
The Directors are accountable to external bodies, including the Department for Education and the Charity Commission, for the quality of education provided and for ensuring effective systems are in place to promote high standards, safety and good practice.
To support effective governance, the Trust appoints Local Governing Bodies with the skills and experience needed to provide local oversight and challenge. The Local Governing Bodies meet 3 times per academic year. The term of office for our Local Governing Bodies is 4 years.
The Trust Board has also established an Executive Team to provide strategic and operational leadership across the Trust. Further details of our Central Leadership Team can be found here. The respective roles and responsibilities of the Trust Board, Executive Team and Local Governing Bodies are set out in the AIM Academies Trust Scheme of Delegation, under which Local Governing Bodies exercise delegated responsibilities on behalf of the Trust Board.
